This silk kimono is decorated with a pattern of Asanoha: The Hemp Leaf is one of the most popular traditional patterns, the repetitive pattern is often used for babies clothes, as relatives wish the baby to grow up like hemp grass as it is known to be fast growing.
This vintage kimono was sourced from the Osaka area of Japan. It is approximately 40 years old.
