Our casual, swing clutch, with adjustable leather strap and leather tassel. One side is grey, slightly silver leather, and other is vintage 'obi': the sash worn with kimono at formal occasions. It can be supplied with a silver chain if preferred.
A delicate woven pattern of Ume trees. Ume, the Plum Blossom is a very popular symbol on fabrics. It is a favourite within the range of Japanese designs: it’s beauty and fragrance has been reflected in many poems. It is the first of the year to bloom, and therefore represents endurance.
This vintage Fukuro Obi was sourced from the Osaka area of Japan. It is approximately 30 years old, and in excellent condition.
