We have created this belt from vintage obi, the heavily embroidered sash worn around the kimono. Very flattering for anyone with a waistline!
It is designed to be tied at the front or the back. In our opinion some designs look better tied at the back, and others at the front to recreate the traditional look of the obi.
We make in a variety of dimensions so please check each design’s specifics below. The belt is quite flexible for size as it can overlap a few inches at the back and still sit flat.
Size: 73cm around waist (not including the tie) x 11.75 wide.
